Hear locking sound when Mac awakes from sleep: Bug in 1P 3?
Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to report potential bugs.
I'm running 1P 3.8.2 app and extension on Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
First off, when I put my MacBook Pro to sleep the first time after a boot and then wake it the 1P app locking sound plays. You know the sound that plays when you click the lock icon. This applies only for the first sleep.
Secondly, I don't know if this has to do with Safari, 1P or Web Snapper, which is the only extensions I use, but after the Safari 5.1 update and the new 1P and Web Snapper extensions, I get weird graphics when opening Top Sites. Not all the time, but every first time I click Top Sites for sure. I've also posted this on Apple Forum.
Regards,
Jan

I experience the same behavior when awakening my iMac and MBP from sleep. I will consult with our developers to see if this is intended or unintended behavior. Regardless, thank you for bringing it up.

I reviewed the Apple thread you linked to, and based on your following comment, I believe the issue is not related to 1Password:
I use 1Password plugin and Web Snapper extension, same result without these two. I also did the additional 10.6.8 update.
However, if you find additional information regarding the cause of the weird graphics, please let us know.
Cheers!

Any solution for this soon?

We are trying to find a workaround, but as Brandt mentioned we may not be able to 'fix' this. In order for 1Password to play the 'lock' sound as it locks when your mac goes to sleep, it needs to first find out from OS X that this is what is happening. In your case, it sounds like 1Password isn't getting that message until your Mac wakes up -- a little too late.
We have some changes in the works that may help this, but only time will tell. Keep an eye out for updates! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0
