How to edit title while saving?

I'm using v3.8.3 on Lion. For a new site login, I click the 1P toolbar button. Then click the plus and get details of the login I'm about to save. I want to change the title that 1P has entered. When you double click into any field, it remains gray as if you cannot edit it. But it is editable. Is there a way to increase the width on this little window so you can see the full title?

  • Ah, sorry for the confusion here, brettr. This is actually a bug in Safari 5.1 in Lion that won't show a cursor in any text field within an extension, it's the same bug that causes no cursor to appear when you're entering your master password. We've reported this to Apple so hopefully they can have a fix in place soon.

What you should see when editing a field, after you double-click the title for example, is that the text will change to a darker shade of grey and you'll find that typing will edit the text within that field.

I don't believe we can dynamically change the width of the popover and I have a feeling the majority of users wouldn't want this even if we could. Let me speak to our developers about ways we can improve things while we're waiting on Apple.
