1Password pro won't lock correctly [Item list is not protected by master password]

drayton
edited September 2011 in iOS
Under security settings there are two timers: 1 for the 4-digit lock code and 1 for the master password. The system will lock at the 4-digit level, requesting the 4-digit code after the time has passed, but the system never requests the master password again, regardless of the settings or the time passed.

I can type in incorrect numbers on the 4-digit level or even select the manual lock feature, but all that is required to open it again is the 4-digit code. Engaging the "Lock when inactive" toggle has no effect.

Not sure what to try. Will check to see if iOS is current.

UPDATE:

iOS is up to date. No change.

Tried deleting the database and resyncing. No change.

Tried several other setting changes (no auto sync to dropbox, not storing the password in iOS secure area). No change.

As it stands, the only thing between someone and my data is my iPhone + a 4-digit code.

Will use the delete database approach until this is fixed. Please advise.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, drayton. I'm sorry that you are having this problem.

This is certainly a serious issue. However, thus far there have been no other reports of this and I am not able to reproduce the problem.

One thing to keep in mind is that by default, items created in the iOS apps have the "Master Password Protection" set to OFF (while items created in the desktop version have "Master Password Protection" set to ON). Can you confirm that the item you are trying to view has "Master Password Protection" set to ON?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks!

The individual items are locked. I am used to the OS X version that won't even show a list of the items until the master password has been given. Constantly seeing the list made me think they were exposed. Sorry for the false alarm.

    Back to enjoying the holiday weekend. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_tongueout.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-P' />
