The newest iteration (1.8.1.1)
A couple of glitches I've had with this version:
- occasionally it asks me to sign in with my complete password, in spite of the fact that I have a pin set and have not otherwise exited the program, nor turned phone off, etc. Somewhat of a hassle, as my password is rather difficult on a phone keyboard.
- occasionally the PIN screen comes up, but when I enter my PIN, the program reverts to the whole sign-in screen.
- why was the PIN field reduced to 4 numbers? My old PIN was six numbers.
I should add that this program, like everything Agilebits turns out, is outstanding. Love the autologin button.

Hello Kagy,
Thank you for the good words about 1Password Reader and other Agile products. Here at Agile we work hard to make our customers happy with our products and feel happy when our customers like our products.
Related to your questions: please notice that PIN is only for locking of 1Password which has already been authenticated with your long and complex Master Password.
There is absolutely no need to make PIN longer that 4 numbers (There is already a topic on this issue on forum, I need to find it): you have only 5 tries to enter PIN, if incorrect, the application shuts down and will ask you for your Master Password next time. Chance to guess 4 numbers in right sequence out of 10 digits for 5 attempts is very very low (I provided the exact chance in the previous posting on this topic)
Another important topic is: when you leave 1Password Reader unattended for several hours , Android OS detects that the application is idle and kills it without any warning. The same thing may happen when you launch several apps together and OS decides to kill some running apps to free some memory and to give it to the new application.s
That is the way how Android OS works. In this case next time you launch 1Password Reader it comes up with Login Screen because it is a absolutely new instance of the application and your Master Password is required again in order to login.
BTW, if you stoke from left to right over the password field, your password will be shown to you in clear text for several second. It hepls to you make sure that you typed it correctly.
Please let me know if you need more information, I will be glad to assist you further.
Best regards,
Gene
