1p 3 license removed upon update?
in Mac
Hi all,
This question is for tech support (may end up as a bug report) though I'll take an answer from anyone who knows. I recently updated my 1password because the Chrome Extension wasn't taking my password, and after I did so, the app said that my trial had expired. The only problem with that is that I have a license. I use 1password where I work (it is a mandate), and we have a spreadsheet where we keep track of our licenses; unfortunately, my license wasn't entered into it (admittedly my fault). Is this expected behavior? Should I have to re-enter my license after update? Is there any way to recover my license now?
Thanks in advance

Hi
You can retrieve the license key from the customer center so long as you know the email address used to purchase it.
https://agilebits.com/c
If you do need a password or have not used the customer center previously then use the request password link and one will be emailed to you using the address associated with the purchase.
ps Just noticed your location on your profile I like it <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />Flag 0 -
Ok! Thank you very much!
Is 1p supposed to un-license itself when it updates, or is that a bug? I think it has happened to one of my coworkers as well, though that is unconfirmed at this point, and we've since purchased them another license, so it doesn't matter now.

Nathan,
No, the license shouldn't just get removed on an update, so I'm really not sure what happened here. You don't run any cleaning tools on your Mac, such as AppZapper, Clean My Mac or MacKeeper? They could have removed the license key when the noticed the old version getting deleted.Flag 0
