THANK YOU! New extension goes in the right direction

I'm not all negative comments <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />. I updated to the latest Safari/Firefox extensions and YAY! Right-click menus are back! The extension also started asking me to save new passwords as well.

Since Firefox 6 has been crashing a lot for me lately and I had started using Firefox after switching to Lion where the Safari extension did not work. So I'm now back with Safari and so far pretty happy with the new extension.

Thank you, Agilebits, for finally making me feel like you've been listening all along. 1P is finally usable again for me.

  • I'll second that! I use Chrome, and I'm loving the inline prompt to save passwords. I'm not sure how it looks in Safari, but 1P mimics Chrome's default password saver. It actually managed to confuse me the first time I saw it; I thought Chrome was offering to save the password twice.

    @Agilebits: Kudos on the update!
  • Hey there, iplante and bobtheunicorn! Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. I know it is hard to tell that we are listening during the wait, but we hear you and are hard at work on improving 1Password one day at a time. I am glad to hear it is working better for you now. We still have plenty of work to do, though. We aren't finished yet! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

    Thanks for change in Safari extension that enables us to use context menu again to directly input username/password without going to extension pop-over!
  • I would like to see the following improvement...

    In Safari 5.1 I open a URL and click the 1Password icon. It shows me 'Logins for this page.' I use two different logins. And when I click one of them, I would expect that 1Password would fill in the required items and log me in.

    Instead I have to click again the displayed URL data or press ENTER.

    This last is an unnecessary step, in my opinion.

    Hi Ray,

    Sorry for any confusion here, it sounds like you're clicking the blue arrow to the right of the Login item you want to use. That will take you to the details pain, but if you click just the title of the item, or use the arrow keys and enter, 1Password will fill the details for you.

    Hope that helps,
