Knox for Windows [Answered]

I realize that encrypted diskimages are an Apple technology, but I really think that Agile should be in a position to develop a way for the Vaults to be used on Windows.

Thanks for asking about this, Timo. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to develop a way for the vaults to be used in Windows. As you correctly state, Knox is Mac-only because it uses Mac OS X’s encrypted disk images to encrypt your data. This technology is not available on Windows. It would be a significant low-level undertaking. There is a reason a solution for this does not exist already from MacDrive or HFSExplorer. It is not trivial.

We never say "never", but at this stage of the game, a solution for this is unlikely to be developed by AgileBits. We are not really file system experts like the MacFUSE, MacDrive, and other folks.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

    Cheers,

So Agile only writes 'trivial' software?

    Okay, I admit it. That was uncalled for. I know I shouldn't have said that - but I did anyway... <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_tongueout.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-P' />

Our focus is on our existing 1Password and Knox products at this time.
