Auto filling Identity

I am finding that with the changes to Safari and to iPassword the facility to automatically fill identity information into an online form is not longer working

I am having the same problem since latest upgrade my safari integration doesn't work i had to enable extensions when i upgraded to Lion but i cannot remember how i did it, i suspect that may be the problem

I updated to the latest beta Version 3.8.4.BETA (build 31135)

I then manually deleted this file SIMBL.osax it was located in the home library to access it click 'finder' then hold 'option' key click go/library if you do not hold option you will not see library

Next go to 1password select install browser extensions and follow the instructions

This worked for me and also restored the lost button

Prior to this in safari/preferences/extensions nothing was listed now 1password is listed and the button now works correctly again make sure install extensions automatically is selected

Hope this helps as noted in the webpage linked 1password doesn't work with safari reopening all windows unless you refresh the page

Hi Loukie, welcome to the forums! I'm sorry that we didn't get to you sooner.



Are you up to update with 1Password app and its extension for Safari? It should be at 3.8.5 and 3.8.2, respectively. [url=http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/extension_install_update.html]This guide[/url]] will explain how to update both manually if the auto-updater isn't working for some reason.



If you're up to date already, can you tell us where it is not working? We know that the identity filler needs a lot of love but we could use your help by telling us where it doesn't work. A few site addresses will help us fix it faster.

Thanks for your suggestions, they're great. I do not think they'll help as your instructions are related to having a broken 1Password extension as the OP here is having an issue with the identity filler that might be a bug in the extension and not a sign of a broken extension.
