Using different machines with different OS's

One thing I'd like to know is are there going to be any potential future compatibility issues with different versions of 1Password. My situation is that I have an older mbp which I won't upgrade to Lion (currently on 10.6.8 ), so that looks like it's the end of the line for 1PW updates on that machine. I've got a new Mac mini running Lion which I might buy the MAS version for - I'd like to keep both machines in sync thru Dropbox.

Is there anything about this that shouldn't work down the track.

I've got the 1PW keychain in the Dropbox folder within my home folder.

Thanks

  • Hello pgseye,

We continue to support versions of 1Password that run on Tiger and Leopard, so I am confident that you will be able to use 1Password on your older MBP for as long as you wish.

In addition, 1Password's Agile Keychain data file is supported on 1Password 2, 1Password 3 and our 1Password MAS version. Hence, you will be able to continue using Dropbox to sync your data between your MBP and your new Mac Mini.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

    Cheers!
