Unable to backup data

I am unable to backup my data. When trying to open the file it says "Adobe Reader could not open 1Password0100-20100630(5).1ptbackup because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." Anyone know what I can do now?

When you say trying to open the file what do you mean by that? The error sounds like you tried to double click on the file and instead of 1Password opening it, Adobe Reader did instead which is what bought up the error.

What are you trying to do exactly? To also save us time, tell us your OS, iPhone App version as well as your iOS type and its firmware and 1PW version if you do have it.

When going to webpage to download data I then save file. Adobe defaults to open it but I have tried other options to open it and nothing works. How do you get 1password to open it? I have iphone 3GS with iOS 4 update. I have 1Password pro version 3.1.1

    Hi lakent,

I'm sorry for the confusion here, the backup file you've downloaded from the iPhone can only be read by the iPhone version of 1Password, not by 1Password on the Mac. If you want to restore this to the iPhone then you need to follow the steps in the backup guide here:

If you actually want to sync your data from the iPhone to 1Password on the Mac then you need to be using the Wi-Fi sync option which you can setup by using the following guide:

    I hope that helps,
