Issues with app store version when upgrading
in Mac
I had an existing version of 1Password 3 for Mac and I upgraded to the app store version.
I ran into the following issues.
1) Installing the app store version does not overwrite the existing installation. This caused me confusion when I opened it from my dock and the old non-appstore version opened. A quick search of my Applications folder solved the problem, but maybe users should be warned about this in the text of the appstore description.
2) the system icon menu has an option for Open 1Password that's not working. I click it and nothing happens.
3) the links to set up the browser extensions for Safari, Firefox, and Chrome only seem to work when a browser is already open. If you don't have a browser open, the link just appears to do nothing.
But overall, relatively minor issues. The app store version didn't have any trouble realizing that I already had it the other version configured with a Dropbox account and connected automatically and my logins were immediately available.
