Buy but don't install?

I won't have a system with Lion on it for another week, but would like to take advantage of the promo.



Is it possible with the MAS to purchase something now but not install it straight away?

    I gather from other posts that you can't even buy the MAS version unless you have Lion.



    And (annoyingly) I think purchases from the App Store automatically get installed. Of course, one can delete the installed version and reinstall an earlier version. Then you can re-download the new version when you need it.
