3.9, 4, and Snow Leopard

So buying 3.9 now provides a useful discount for a future upgrade to 4.

But if one is still using Snow Leopard one can't buy 3.9 (even as an advance purchase for sue when one later moves to Lion).

That suggests to me that when you intend to remove the discount you should give a warning, so that Snow Leopard users can make a decision.

I've actually got Lion on a separate partition, but am not using it yet. I guess that means that the best thing for me is to boot into Lion to make the purchase and then boot back into Snow Leopard.

    Hi danco,

That would seem to be the easiest solution to me as well. 3.9+ will require Lion to run, so it only makes sense that the Mac App Store requires that it be installed in order to purchase.
