Share password file between 3.9 and 3.8? [Answered]

I'm a 1p 3.8 user and am happy to buy the App Store version, but I'm not ready to upgrade one of my machines to Lion. Can I share my 1p keychain between 3.8 and 3.9 via Dropbox? Or is that a bad idea?

Hi mamster, welcome to the forums!

Yes, you absolutely can. The data file is the same between both verions, we didn't change anything in that area, in fact you can still share it between 1Password 2.12.1 and 1Password 3.9. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Excellent! I'll buy it today.
  • I'm running a mix of Lion and Snow Leopard, via Dropbox. If I upgrade the Lion Mac to the MAS version, will it still sync OK with the Snow Leopard Mac?
  • Hi, sddawson!

I've merged your topic with a similar one that answers your question. Short version: yes. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
