Reverting from MAS to 3.8

Can someone outline the process for correctly and safely reverting from 3.9 MAS only version to my 3.8 version?
'm not join AgileBits on the MAS since it breaks some of the functionality I care about but I would like to safely use 3.8 until I find an alternative.

Guess not. I've tried deleting and the menu bar icon will not go away. So it's a one way trip? Maybe state that on the Mac AppStore.Flag 0

Looky there. Two restarts and it is gone now. Viva version 3.8. Goodbye version >3.8. Time to start looking at alternatives.Flag 0

First of all, make sure you have the copy of your data file in a safe place. You can find it using 1Password > Settings > General. After that, you should be able to remove the app from the LaunchPad.
If you remove the app from LaunchPad the helper (menu bar icon) will be removed automatically.
To disable the helper manually, use 1Password > Settings > Extensions.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.Flag 0 -
To add, that first step is REALLY important. Apparently removing 1Password from the LaunchPad removes ALL of it's data. So make sure you keep a good copy elsewhere. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0
