Toolbar button still brings up old version [Answered]

Upgraded to 3.9. Deleted old version to trash. Data file seems to have transferred just fine. When I click on 1P in toolbar, it still brings up old version (3.8.2).

    Hi,

Did you follow the upgrade instructions here:

OFFICIAL ANSWERS: 1Password and the Mac App Store

    Thanks
  • Unfortunately I purchased from MAS first and didn't see the instructions until after I encountered a problem. Can I undo/redo the process w/o losing data; is the 1P button really accessing 3.8.2 which is in the trash, or ??

I am sorry for the confusion. It seems that you are looking at the version of the extension.

Now that extensions are distributed separately, they almost always will have a version different from 1Password application itself. This is because we could update extension without updating 1Password.
  • I have the same problem.

Delete and reinstall extension doesn't help.

    Hi ThifSoul,

Did you see Roustem's post above?

The extension version is 3.8.2 (this is the latest non-beta extension). This is different from the main application, as the two are updated separately.
  • Thanks. Now i understood.
