3.9 + Beta Chrome extension not honoring "Never save" prefs

I'm running 3.9 with Chrome with extension: 3.8.3.31055
With the upgrade to 3.9, all prefs were lost for which sites to have 1Password never ask to save a login for. I repopulated the sites I wanted, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm asked each time to save.
Additionally, the Never for this site button in the browser does nothing as well.
I've reinstalled the beta extension, and this wasn't a problem with this extension and version 3.8.5.
Any ideas?
