"Never Prompt for Master Password" not working.

I am running Firefox 6.0.2 and 1Password 3.8.5 (build 31141) and 1Password extension 3.8.2 for Firefox on Snow Leopard on both an iMac and a MacBook Pro. I have checked all of the items in the preferences twice and believe them to be set identically on both machines. The iMac works as always, i.e. it never prompts me for the master password. However, on the MacBook Pro I am asked for the password whenever I try to log onto a web site. Not only that, but when I enter the password, which is only three letters, I get a message saying that the password is invalid.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Trollope

Can you try the suggestions in this FAQ?

It sounds to me like the agent has not connected with Firefox and you are trying to unlock an empty database -- which is why the password is not accepted.
  • I deleted the version of the 1Password extension I had installed in Firefox and reinstalled it as outlined in the referenced document, but the symptoms are still the same.
