Strong Passwords?

Hi

I like the idea of 1-Password especially the option to create strong random passwords. However I think I have spotted a flaw with this and before buying I would like to hear from users if there is something I am missing.

If I create strong random passwords on my computer my understanding is that they are stored on that computer only. So if I try to log in to a site on another computer e.g. in work or at a friends house, would I need to remember the complex password or is there some way of logging into 1-Password remotely and accessing the random passwords it has created for me?

Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere, I did look through FAQs and this forum but couldn't find any reference to it.

I would see it as a disadvantage if I had to carry a list of all the random passwords with me.

    Hi raiderfra,

Yes, you can access your passwords from anywhere and only need to remember at most two passwords (read on). The best way to access your data any where is by syncing your data with Dropbox, which is fully supported by 1Password. See here on how to do that.

Once you have your data synced to Dropbox, you can access it from any computer for free using 1Password Anywhere. The caveat is that you will have to use a Dropbox password you can remember. This is highly recommended since you do not want people who can get into your Dropbox account easily unlocking your 1Password data (if you chose to use the same password for Dropbox and 1Password).

If you use Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and now Windows Phone 7, you can purchase apps for all of those devices that also sync with the data stored on Dropbox so you can have a truly native 1Password experience on each device.

I personally use the iOS, Windows, and Mac apps.

    I hope this helps.
