Can't use 1P to log into the App Store [Answered]

LOL

The whole point of 1P is to eliminate memorization and typing.

So, how do I use 1P to log into the AppStore to BUY 1P?

I've long desired for the famous 1P logo to grace the sign in for iTunes and the App Store. Guess some login forms are unobtanium
  • I thought maybe the new menu bar Go & Fill would let me login to the app store, but it doesn't. Still have to type it manually (or copy/paste) every single time. Very annoying.

Unfortunately, the App Store program is not a browser, so 1PW can't interact directly.

What I do for App Store purchases is open 1PW and copy and paste the password. You do know that hovering the mouse over the password produces a Copy button?

We are looking into the possibility of bringing the Auto-Type feature from 1Password for Windows "back to the Mac." I don't have a time frame or any other details on this at this time, but it would sure be a boon.

In the meantime, y'all are correct. A simple copy and paste is still required for apps apart from the supported browsers.
  • Yes, yes - bring over autotype. One of the most used features (for me at least)
