Inability to Add Tags and Organize Into Folders

I'm upset that, even with all the recent updates, Agile still has not updated 1Password's browser extensions to allow adding tags to new logins from within the browser. I also can't put new logins into a folder from the browser. So, if I want to add tags or put a new login in a folder, in the latest versions of Safari or Chrome, I have to do that by switching to the application. That's a pain in the neck and really limits the ease of use of 1Password. Thankfully, I can still add tags and organize logins into folders from the browser in Firefox 5.0, so I am not planning to update Firefox to a new version.

But, I haven't heard Agile talk about tags and folders at all when discussing the limitations of the new browsers. So, I would like to hear why tagging and putting logins into folders is still not possible in the newer browsers. It seems to me that integrating tags and folders into the new browsers is a lack of priority on Agile's part. If I'm wrong, then I'd like to hear so from Agile. I keep waiting for tagging and folders to be added in each new update and I'm continually being disappointed.

It is possible to save the name of a new login within the browser. So, I'm not convinced that tagging and placing logins into folders is not possible.

Thanks.

  • I want to chime in on your comment below. I had to resort to putting a key tag name into each login name so I could get the group in the new system. Pain that can't just select a tag and get the group. Waiting to hear from them as well. Like all the improvements from when lion first came out but where are the tags.
  • Hey there, Mirsky! I am sorry to keep you waiting. I am not convinced that tags and folder are not possible in the new extensions either. At this point we are more focused on getting AutoSave working in Firefox 6. Folders are something that has been discussed, but we need to make sure we have everything else working well first before trying to add anything else. Thanks so much -- both of you -- for letting us know that this is important to you!
