Why is it so easy to see the clean written passwords?

It's way to careless that someone could see the clean written passwords with four clicks when I haven't locked the 1Password browser extension without typing in the master password again even when the main 1Password app is locked. You just have to click on the arrow besides the URL and then click on edit and voilà there it is. Why is it so simple? You should've only access to your clean written passwords from the main 1Password app typing in your master password again.

This is why it is important to lock 1Password when you are away from your computer. There are options to do this for you automatically in 1Password > Preferences > Security.

A lock is worthless if you leave the keys in it. Take the keys out. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Sure, I know what you mean by that and I totally agree with you, but I thought 1Password is about logging into pages quick and safely but not to show them to me that easy all the time. They should be stored in an other area in the main app secured by another master password request. Why is it necessary to see your passwords clean written in the browser extension? That is a bit over the finish line...

Without seeing the password, there is no way to edit it.

Looks like you will want to disable the Universal Unlock in the browser extension. You can also make the automatic lock to happen faster, by default it is set to 20 min.
