1Password in a subfolder of Dropbox

Regarding 1Password MAS and Dropbox I've learned that the keychain must be located in ~/Dropbox or you've to change the location by following this tutorial: http://forum.agilebits.com/index.php?/topic/8335-how-to-fix-issue-where-1password-will-not-use-agilekeychain-in-dropbox-folder/

But my keychain is located in a subfolder of Dropbox (~/Dropbox/Somefolder/*.agilekeychain)

Will that work with 1Password MAS or do I need to alter the location described in the tutorial?

(Besides I'm not happy with MAS only too.)

I have my keychain in a subfolder in Dropbox and it automatically found and used it when I upgraded to the MAS version.

On my iMac it auto-found the agilekeychain in the Dropbox subfolder(s). On my MBP it didnt, so I had to change the plist file. Sure there will be a bug fix, but as we are now in the MAS it'll take a bit longer (approval and all that!)

I am surprised it didn't find it on your MBP. What do you think was different there?

On the one that didnt work, I deleted the old 1P app befofe installing the MAS version. I left all the pref files.
  • Now I've installed 1Password MAS and it found and used my keychain in the Dropbox subfolder without problems. Perfect! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Thanks everyone!
