1Password Application Extremely Slow

I'm finding 1Password 3.9 to be extremely slow at most tasks.

Opening the application now takes upwards of 12 bounces to open

The animation on typing in my master password is skipped as it takes a long time to open

Closing the preferences window takes several seconds and causes the spinning beach ball to appear

It takes about a second to load new information when clicking on a login

Scrolling is laggy
Is this a known issue? Are other people experiencing the same?

I'm using a MacBook Pro 17" from 2007 with a dying HDD but I don't think these issues are solely due to this.

Thank you for your support

A dying hard drive could definitely cause the issues you described, especially if 1Password or a portion of it exists on bad sectors that the OS has to attempt reading multiple times before it is able to get a good read.

Let us know if you still have the difficulties after replacing the drive. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
