Can't select Dropbox to store my 1P keychain

From Preferences > General > Your Data Stored In, I can't select "Use Dropbox..." and "Choose Another" doesn't show up. I've been syncing via this method for years, but just installed the mac apps store version of 1P. When first installing this app earlier today I couldn't navigate to the dropbox folder when looking for my previous library. I've done a repair permissions and a restart. I did delete the application before the installation, but only by dragging the app to the trash and emptying it. The attached screen shot shows my options (or lack there of) under preferences and that I do have a working dropbox account. Any other suggestions?

The Dropbox folder must be located in your home folder (~/Dropbox)

If your's is not located there try moving it, or create a symlink to your Dropbox folder in your home folder.
  • Thanks Ca1icoJack. I created an alias of my Dropbox folder in my user home folder. This now allows me to select the "Use Dropbox..." button. However, after selecting the option, getting the "Use Dropbox?" dialog, and selecting "Use Dropbox, I get the following error:

Failed to copy '/Users/typeofdoug/Library/Containers/com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper/Data/Documents/1Password.agilekeychain' to '/Users/typeofdoug/Dropbox/1Password.agilekeychain': Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=512 "“1Password.agilekeychain” couldn’t be copied to “Dropbox”." Suggestions?

    Hi. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

An alias is unfortunately not enough. The file must physically exist on disk at ~/Dropbox/1Password.agilekeychain. I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this.
