International Wallet items [Answered]

I apologize in advance if this has been brought up before. I know that you abandoned custom wallet items, and I'm sure you had a good reason. However, going that way means you really have to localize the wallet items!

That is more important than it might seem. The current wallet items are basically US only. I just wanted to complete my wallet information, and I'm left with workarounds or stuck, because the items I need are not there.

For example: while the credit card item is useful too, 99,95% of the German (maybe even European) users need an entry for an "EC"-card (Electronic Cash: http://en.wikipedia....Electronic_cash ), a debit card which is the main payment method in Germany, also for cash withdrawals at ATMs. (Many adults don't even have a credit card here, I know that's hard to believe for most Americans <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> ). I would like an entry for the EC-card PIN number (an item like debit-card could be useful for Americans, too). Using an additional PIN safe application is not a very attractive solution.

Also, I don't think that even one of your German users needs an entry for a hunting license. Every time I open the Wallet I feel the urge to delete that item and I can't.

The fields for a bank account are sufficient, but "routing number" definitely needs to be translated to "Bankleitzahl". I was missing that field badly, and had to google "routing number" just to find out that's the field I'm looking for (and I'm fluent in English).

So, those are just three examples, please check the set of items as well as the proper translation for your international customers. That is really important, just imagine you as Americans buy an application like 1password, and you are missing the credit card item. Unacceptable, right? <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> Thank you! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Hey Blacky,

I'm sorry for the delayed reply here. This has indeed been discussed a couple of times and we are definitely investigating the best way to approach this. We've got some ideas, but I'm not sure when we'll see them come to fruition at this point. We definitely appreciate your input here though!

    Thank you!

    A couple of times????? <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />

I would have thought it's one of the most asked for changes. I have both an English and French bank account and having to deal with just an American set up for wallet item is a tad annoying. As bank account details are probably used by every user (as opposed to the hunting licence as mentioned above) couldn't there be a choice of various country set ups to choose from. OK, I realise that you then would have to decide which countries, but that would help a lot for us over the other side of the water <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Absolutely, and as I mentioned we are definitely looking at this. It's on the radar. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
