sync problem with iPad dropbox version

Hi,

I might have had this problem for quite some time because usually my passwords don't change that much. I use 1password to keep track of weird ones, like to what verizon has set my modem. ;-(

Here my issue. I checked for that specific password on my iPad. After some digging I saw that it failed to open my password library in dropbox. It said my master password was incorrect. I deleted the application and reinstalled, tried to sync the account through dropbox, got the same error message for a couple of times. Suddenly it worked and synced correctly. Now I've tried a couple of times manually and now again get the wrong master password message. 1password works fine on my macs and syncs flawlessly. I can also use it on the dropbox web interface (my personal favorite). My master password hasn't changed and yes I did enter it correctly! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Any ideas? Thanks Philly

I'm using the new mac lion only version but must have had this problem before. On the iPad I have the newest pro version which is running on the newest iOS version on an iPad2

    Hi Philly,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

First, make sure you are actually entering the password that is being requested. 1Password asks for both your Master Password (for the keychain file on Dropbox) AND for your Dropbox password.

Failing that, whenever things get wonky on iOS the first thing I usually suggest is to reinstall the app in question. Note that following this procedure will erase any data stored in the 1Password app on your iOS device, so you'll have to set up your master password and Dropbox syncing again. If you do not sync with Dropbox, you will want to make sure to backup your data before performing this procedure:

    http://help.agilebits.com/1Password_touch/backup.html

Once you have your data backed up (either synced with Dropbox or a special backup as outlined above) you can remove 1Password by pressing and holding on the 1Password icon until all the icons start to jiggle. Then you can click the X in the top left corner to uninstall 1Password. Once 1Password disappears, you can press the home button to stop the icons from jiggling. You can then either re-sync the 1Password app over from your computer, or download a fresh copy from the App Store (note: even though the button still says "Buy," you won't actually be charged a 2nd time).

    Thanks

    Ben
