don't accept password

I have 1pw in Ipad and PC, using dropbox without any problem. Now try to use the reader version in Android (HTC Desire, Swedish). I have tried both to copy to SD and dropbox (says sucessful). Unistall and install serveral times. I always got the message "Validation failed".



I use upper and lower case and both "£", "$".



I tried to found it in the forums but not really like my problem. Sorry if I missed it.

Please make sure you don't use any international characters in your Master Password, just standard English letter, numbers or ANSI characters.

Next, gently stoke over a password field from left to right, the password will be shown to you in clear text for a couple of seconds. Make sure

you type the password correctly.

Thank you for fast replay.

I enter correct master password when I look for every entering. I,m not really sure about what correct ANSI code? Is $ and £ ok to use? Other wise I only use numbers, upper and lower english letters.



I though I have seen something about problem when choosing upper and lower letters.

Hi Mats,



$ and £ are ok to use. In fact, any number, English alphabet letter and signs !@#$%^&* are perfectly OK in any combination and of any length.

Master Password is case sensitive, so please make sure you entered the password in correct case.



And remember that you can gently stoke over a password field from left to right. The password will be shown to you in clear text for a couple of seconds.

Thank you for trying help me to solve the problem. Yes I have stoke and see that the password is correct. Is there something with the issue to copy over to phone or dropbox (tried both) that I can missed. Have tried to follow your information on the web.

Hello Mats,



Sorry to hear about your issue.

First of all, reboot your phone, launch 1Password Reader and try to Login with your Master Password typing it carefully.

If this approach doesn't work for you, uninstall the application, delete a Dropbox folder from the phone's SD card,

install a new copy, do a fresh sync and try to login again.



If this way also doesn't work for you, change a Master Password on your computer to something very simple (say "pass123")

synchronize your phone and try this simple password first.
