3.9 on Lion, 3.8 on Snow Leopard, Multi-User

Hi!

I bought a family license 3.8 of 1password a couple days ago to use at home (Lion) and at work (Snow Leopard). It is fantastic ! So much so I also bought the iOS versions from App Store for my iPhone and iPad (and will download the Android versions for my wife). The home machine is used by myself and wife. We each have DropBox account and use that to store keychain. Yay.

Now - I notice 3.9 on Mac Store for Lion. What to do ? I'd love to use it on home machine for the two of us, which as far as I can tell I can do as we have our own DB accounts with keychain at root. But my work machine is not yet on Lion. I suspect that the keychain file can be shared between 3.9 and 3.8, is this correct ? But to work like this do I need to keep my investment in 3.8 for the family account and ALSO buy the Lion only 3.9 from the App Store? Or can I somehow refund the 3.8 family purchase, buy 3.9 from App Store and then be able to add license info to allow 3.8 to work on Snow Leopard ?

A little confused, but thanks for an awesome app,

-Gordon

  • Ok - I think what I need to do is :

    1) ask for a refund

    2) purchase from MAS the Lion 3.9 version

    3) https://onepassword-osx.tenderapp.com/kb/purchasing/how-can-i-use-snow-leopard-when-purchasing-from-mac-app-store ask for license for my older version @ work

Does this sound about right ?
