Menu bar icon unresponsive in full screen mode

I discovered yet another bug in 3.9: The menu bar icon does not show the menu when Safari is in full screen mode under Lion.

I purchased 1Password via the App Store and have had nothing but problems in every respect, including lack of response from Agile. (Agile, are you SURE it was such a good idea to move all support to a public forum?)

I'm afraid I have to concur with the 1-star reviews for this otherwise 5-star app. I hope Agile's programmers will soon save the day so I can submit a 5-star review, not a 1-star. What on earth happened with version 3.9? Is there any way I can install a previous version while this alpha version gets fixed?

    aef110,

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but for me when apps enter full screen the entire menu bar is hidden, not just 1Password. This seems to be working as intended...

If you mean the 1P button in Safari's toolbar, that is working perfectly for me in Safari 5.1 fullscreen. If it is not for you, I'd suggest reinstalling the Safari extension.
  • Hi Ben,

I just checked again by expanding a Safari window to full screen. If I move the pointer all the way to the top, the menu bar will show. Then, clicking on the 1Password icon highlights the icon, but the 1Password menu does not show. The menus for all other apps in the menu bar display properly when Safari is in full screen mode.

It's just a little bug, but I hope it can be ironed out in the next update.

Okay, I understand what you are seeing now, but again I cannot reproduce this. The menubar icon, from the Helper, does work for me when moving the cursor to the top of the screen with Safari in full screen mode.

I think you may have a 3rd party application that is interfering. Lets continue this in your other thread as I believe the two issues may be related.
  • I just tested this again -- this time after a fresh restart -- and it works perfectly. Could it be the case that dual screens interfere with 1Password's menu bar? I'm using an external monitor on a MacBook Pro, and often I disconnect it to use the MacBook on the go, then reconnect in the office. Perhaps switching back and forth triggers some sort of bug? I usually just use one monitor at a time, but sometimes both together.

I wouldn't rule it out until I can test it. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> I don't have access to my dual-screen machine at the moment, but when I get home I'll check it out.
