1Password not resilient enough to handle move to Utilities folder [Answered]

I've always put 1Password into the Utilities folder. It's a utility, and this is where it belongs.
Unfortunately, the new Menuling in 3.9.0 becomes useless if you do this. I don't really care where Apple thinks I should put Applications, I'm not going to give in to their "just stick e'ryting in da bucket" philosophy, so it would be nice if 1Password were resilient enough to handle being moved to another directory besides /Applications.
The /Applications folder is already a jumbled mess as it is ;_;

Because 1Password 3.9 and above is sandboxed, it needs to remain where the MAS installs it. This will be true of all applications purchased from the MAS when all applications are forced to sandbox in November.
While this isn't great for organizational purposes, it is great for security.
Sorry I don't have a better answer.Flag 0 -
Looks like I'll just have to hide the /Applications folder altogether and build my own with symlinks. I still think that unique security per app is more effective than windows-like system wide security, where a single vulnerability can effect every application instead of only a single one.
*sigh*
Apple used to make fun of Windows for coming with Solitaire built in while OS X came with Chess - as though it were made for smarter, more creative people.
Quite the reversal now. Sad.Flag 0
