1Password 3.9 - a lot of bugs, please fix
Hi there Agile-folks!
Just bought 1Password 3.9 on the App Store today and started typing in all my info in the app. All the logins, etc, etc, I placed in newly made folders. All seemed to be oke until I stopped 1Password (quit program, CMD-Q) and then reopened it.
When I opened it all folders were empty! Since I got multiple logins for the same site I need the folders to distinguish them so I can easily see which account they're for without looking into the items themselves.
Oke, I reckoned maybe something went wrong with the data file. Happens sometime in general with computers. I next wanted to clear all data out of the file by deleting items. I've deleted a bunch, stopped the app and started it. All items were back like prior to deleting a lot of items.
Next up was radical, I've deleted the data file as stated on the Agile support site..forgetting I'd spent 3 hours of making items etc. Opened up the app, started a new database, checked the problem. Unfortunately the problem still persist.
My last try was installing the app on another computer, my iMac. Did all checks, problem persists. I'm under the impression now that the app is seriously bugged and needs a fix asap.
To complete the scenario, here's my config:
1: Macbook Pro running on OS X 10.7.1, using 1Password 3.9
2: iMac running on OS X 10.7.1, using 1Password 3.9
All though the app needs some fixes it seems, it looks great and I am happy about what it's function is. Agile, could you fix the app please so I can start enjoying it?
Thanks a bunch!

I'm having the same issue (also the App Store version, if that matters). Also could benefit from being able to manually organize passwords for personal/work related passwords.
Also, when creating a folder, I start entering the name and then it behaves as if I've hit Return and creates another folder called "New Folder." When quitting out and reopening the "New Folder" folder is there but the one I was trying to create is gone. Very odd.
This and the syncing bug with not being able to delete folders (mentioned elsewhere) are the only problems I've had, fixing them both would be great, thanks!Flag 0 -

A little update on this part: after trying and trying it seems the problem lies with the Firefox-plugin. It looks like the plugins caches the 1Password data somewhere and pushes it back into the "real" database, remember I've trashed the database and started a new one prior. Perhaps it's the Helper-app that bugged somewhere, I can't tell. Having only the Chrome-plugin installed doesn't lead to data coming back.
The exact method was to:
1. disable the "Keep helper running to enable extension features" in the 1Password preferences under the tab Extensions, quit 1Password after this.
2. manual remove the 1Password-extensions from Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
3. trash 1Password database, resides in your user library (CMD-SHIFT-H) then Library/Containers.
4. start 1Password, create new database.
5. enable the "Keep helper running to enable extension features" in the 1Password preferences under the tab Extensions.
6. Install the browser extension.
Hope this helps someone experiencing the same issue! Now for the other bugs to be solved... <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0 -

Thanks for this information. I haven't tried working with folders yet but I could in fact run across this issue as well and it's nice to see the legwork has been done. CheersFlag 0
