Lion Finder AgileKeychain Copy Problems

I encountered what appears to be a Finder issue in Lion whereby copying the 1Password keychain data store between volumes results in an incomplete keychain on the destination volume. I needed to revert to a SuperDuper backup of my keychain located on another volume, but the Finder copy did not copy the entire keychain. Launching 1Password confirmed that much of my data was missing. The only way to get my backup into place was to use Terminal to copy the chain over. This is reproducible, at least on my machine, and could be part of the problem some folks are encountering with seemingly corrupted keychains.

    Hi velgor!

Sorry for the delayed reply. I haven't been near my machine with multiple hard drives in a little while to test this.

I was unable to reproduce the results you are finding. I copied my keychain from Dropbox (which lives on my Drobo along with the rest of my home folder) to my internal hard drive using Finder. Upon inspecting the keychains, you can see they are exactly the same.

Yea, it's weird but easily reproducible on my machine. Only difference between your test and mine is the backup I'm copying from is a sparse disk image on an external volume. I'll try a straight volume to volume copy when I get home to see what happens.
