Several bugs/errors with MAS Version - Help?

Hi everyone,

I've read through many of the threads on this site, but to be honest at this point I have just confused myself further. I am posting in case someone could point me to the correct threads to clear things up for me.

I was using the trial version of 1password for Mac - until two days ago when I bought the MAS version. Thrilled to get it. But, then the problems started for me. I uninstalled the trial version by dragging the app to the trash. My keychain file was still in my dropbox.

I then installed the MAS version, and my logins appeared as usual. I thought this was great, but I didn't really use the app again thoroughly until today. I started noticing a few problems:

First, I wanted to create some new folders so I could better organize my logins and add some new ones. I have the option to keep the helper visible in the menu bar. i created the folders (a couple times whilst doing this it acted as though I had hit the return key and saved it as New Folder instead of my chosen folder name) and then noticed that these new folders were not appearing in the folder list in the helper icon located in the menu bar. Then, i tried renaming one of the folders that were visible via the helper icon. That change worked, but still, none of my new folders were visible.

As I am still somewhat new to Mac itself, I thought maybe I had made a mistake. So I tried deleting it via the launcher, re-installing from the Mac App Store. My logins & master password info remained. Hmm. So, I then tried unlinking my dropbox, and deleted again. Fresh install. Got the option to choose 'I am a new user' - set up a new master password. All looked fine, until suddenly all my previous logins appeared. Again. Thoroughly confused, I deleted once more. This time, the app itself had no logins - a seemingly fresh install just like I wanted. Great! Until I installed the firefox extension. It refused to unlock until I entered in my OLD master password, and there were all my old logins visible in the FF extension - even though they were not in the app itself. And the extension still refused to acknowledge I had changed the master password via the app. I have deleted all previous backups and keychain info yet FF still manages to store these logins. I'm so confused!

I tried the Chrome extension, and it recognized the new master password. So that's something, but I don't use Chrome often <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

So, I may be missing something really obvious, and if that is the case I am truly sorry. I am also sorry if some of these mentioned problems are known bugs w/ the current version and I seemed to have missed that. Could someone please point out to me a way I could completely start over with no logins, and get the FF extension to sync with this? Just to be sure I'm doing this correctly?

Thank you very much.

EDIT: I have since discovered deleting the "OnePassword.sqlite" file in my FF extensions folder fixes the syncing master password problem... but my folders still do not work with the helper icon in the menu bar.

The problem you are having with the folders is a bug in 1Password, see here:

Hopefully this will be fixed in an update soon.
