My iPhone always shows up twice (as two devices) when I sync via Wi-Fi

I rely on Wi-Fi syncing for my iPad and iPhone 4.



My iPad works find and my iPhone also syncs fine. The minor issue, is the iPhone shows up twice.



I delete the second copy, (that has never synced) and it comes back. I delete both, they both come back when I pair up again.



I would like to ignore it, but I have a sneaking suspicion that something is wrong and perhaps sync will break down the road if I don't figure this out.



Anyone else have this or know what to do?



(I have 3.8.5 Build 31141 and have done all of the troubleshooting steps - one at a time - this keeps happening and I can reproduce it at will - the iPhone always shows up twice - the iPad only shows up once.)
