Passwords containing sets of 3 or more periods not working

This seems to be a problem which has more to do with OS X internals, but when I try to store a password which contains six periods in a row (...), it converts them in sets of three from ... to this single character … (which if you highlight, you will notice is a single character, different from three . characters). I just thought this is something you guys might not have come across yet and would want to know about.

When you only have 3 periods, it doesn't convert them, but once you enter a couple more than that it starts converting them to save space.

Thank you for the feedback bsmartt! This appears to be an unfortunate disadvantage to Lion's auto-correct technology. In fact, I just had to go back and fix where I had typed your name (twice!) because Lion kept auto-correcting it to "smart."
