The store price is wrong according to the product page

The 1Password for windows product page says "buy it now for $39.99" but when you click on that button, it puts the product in the cart at $49.99. What's up with that?

Also, the mac / pc bundle doesn't make sense anymore since we purchase the mac version from MAS.

I would like to purchase the pc version and the IOS version to go with my MAS purchased mac version. Is there any thought of offering that combination?

Thanks

Greg

The store shows $49.99 for me:

...but I know there was some problem yesterday in getting the store page and the checkout page matched up, so maybe that's what you were seeing.

    We apologize for the confusion.

You can still buy 1Password for Mac in our online store. Snow Leopard users (like me!) can't use the version of 1Password for Mac that's available in the Mac App Store.

Sorry, but Apple doesn't provide a means of bundling desktop products with iOS products that sell in the iTunes App Store.

But that's the thing. On the product page, it says that the windows version is $39.99, not the $49.99 that is shown in the store. I am really starting to re-think using 1Password because I need to purchase quite a bit of software here: Mac version, Windows version and iPhone/iPad version.

If you really buy into 1Password managing all your passwords, and using the password generator to have secure passwords, then you really need to purchase all of those versions.
I agree that you don't have an option through the apple stores, but you still have some sort of option (through coupon codes) that you could use on your store for people who purchase and register the apple store versions. I'm just looking for some multi-platform love for somebody about to shell out $100 for a password wallet solution.

I'm not sure which product page you mean, but I'm guessing that any such discrepancies were related to the time it took to get all the pages updated and propagated to the site servers.

Again, we apologize for the confusion.

That's true: with those strong passwords comes the need to have access to them when you're away from your computer. That's why your 1Password data automatically includes 1PasswordAnywhere, a secure and encrypted read-only "gateway" that's available if you copy your 1Password data to a portable device or (as is more convenient) put it online using Dropbox or some other web-accessible storage location.

On the contrary, Greg, we're very limited in the number of Mac App Store coupons we're issued by Apple. If the Mac App Store works the same as the iTunes App Store, we also have no access to Apple's records of who has bought the software from them.

I do understand your concern about the cost for multiple platforms, but pricing decisions are way "above my pay grade," as they say. I recommend dropping us a line at support@agilebits.com to express your thoughts along those lines.

This page still says it is $39.99. But when you click on the buy now, it takes you to the page you quoted above.
  • Thanks, Greg. I wish I had the ability to fix that. At least the price on the store page, as shown above, is consistent with the checkout price.

All I can do is beg your patience.
