1Password command-\ does not work with KeyCue
It appears that the recent version of the 1Password browser plugin for Firefox (at least) does not work when using the one key (command-\) invocation while I have KeyCue running on my machine.
With KeyCue running, and I type Command-\ then I see the 1Password dialog box appear momentarily but then it closes (usually when I release the Command key) before I can interact with the 1Password dialog box.
This is new behaviour; the old 1Password extension used to work with KeyCue running.
Can you please investigate this behaviour. For the moment I have turned KeyCue off, and the 1Password dialog box is working as expected.
Cheers, S t u a r t .

For some reason that I can't recall (probably a conflict with another program) I use ctrl-| rather than cmd-\ as my shortuct. This works fine for me with KeyCue. This is with Firefox 6, 3.8.4 extension, Snow Leopard.
svb, you did say you were using the latest extension but did not specify version of Firefox, OS (and 1PW itself). The more info of that kind you give, the easier it is for the Agile people to investigate.Flag 0 -
Thanks for the info, danco! Since we aren't doing anything different with our keyboard shortcuts than we have been, it may be that there is some other kind of conflict on your system. Please try changing your keyboard shortcuts in 1Password under Preferences > Logins and then changing them back, as OS X should tell you if the combination is already in use. I hope this helps! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0

I have a similar problem with CMD-\ not working. What's worse, if I change the setting in 1Password to something else (instead of CMD-\), when I try to set it back to CMD-\ 1Password does not 'see' that I pressed keys. Had to revert to a previous settings (plist) file.
This is on my Laptop. It works fine on the iMac at home.Flag 0 -
Hey there, svb! If you change the keyboard shortcut in 1Password Preferences > Logins, do you still have this problem? And with KeyCue active, are you able to change it back to the default ( ⌘ \ )?
We have made some changes to the main 1Password application and the extensions in recent updates, so just make sure 1Password is up to date (1Password menu > Check for Updates) and then install the latest Firefox extension (1Password menu > Install Browser Extensions).
Let me know your results. I look forward to hearing back from you. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0 -
Hey there, PacNW! I am sorry for the trouble.
Please try Help > Troubleshooting > Restart Agent/Helper to see if that fixes it. Failing that, restart your Mac. I have to do this a few times a day when I mess around too much and jump between versions, since it messes the Agent up, but this always works for me.
I hope this helps. Please let me know how it turns out. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0
