Sidebar selection resetting after editing

In the 1P application (3.9.0 build 39001), after I am done editing an entry, about 3 seconds later the sidebar selection changes.

For example, use the search box to find an entry you want to edit from the search results. Edit something and click Save. Don't do anything but then the sidebar selection changes to the top Browser Extensions and the search results go away. Kind of annoying.

If I select a folder then an entry to edit, when I save it resets to the Vault:Logins section (however the entry I was editing is still selected in the list).

    Hi Smudge,

Thanks for the report. It appears that turning off the browser extensions pane in the sidebar helps with this. 1Password > Preferences > General, uncheck the box for browser extensions.

  • I was having the same problem today. I did disable the Browser Extensions in the sidebar (did that before I found this post) bit that did not make any difference. I did a search on a password (yes I still reuse passwords!) and wanted to go through and change them all. After every couple of edits the search field goes blank and returns to the initial state. Not sure if it was a specific time or not but I did have to actually edit an entry before the search field would reset.

Ah yes. I'll pass this information along to the developers. I was having a hard time reproducing the issue because I always use the keyboard (Command-E will begin and end an edit for an item). Clicking the "Save" button is where the issue pops up, not when using Command-E to save the item. Good catch.

... while I'm doing something else in 1Pw the "Browser Extensions" panel kicks in? and it does repeatedly! :-/

    Hey pl_svn,

I merged your post with this existing thread. This is something we should have resolved in an update. Thanks for nudging us on this!
