meebo.com login improperly filled

[url="http://www.meebo.com/"]Meebo[/url] has a combined login/register form on their homepage, and for some reason, 1Password fills my username in all the fields of the new-account-registration part of the form as well as the login ('email' and 'full name', neither of which is the same as my username, so I don't understand why 1Password even tries to fill them at all). My workaround has been to turn off submit for this site, and manually delete the filled data from the registration fields before trying to sign on, but I'm hoping that you can work out what's going on there and find a way to fix it.

    It has been a while since I used Meebo but I don't recall having any difficulty logging in using 1Password. Please try saving the login manually like this:



    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.

    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and select the "+" button in the upper right hand corner.

    3. Change the title and make any notes (if desired).

    4. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.

    Thanks for your response on this, and sorry it's taken me so long to get back here and check it out. Unfortunately, though I followed your suggestion to the letter, it did not work. 1Password still fills my username into several fields where it does not belong, and causes an error in login. You can see in the attached screenshot that it is even entering my username in the "age" field of the registration portion of the combined login/register form... Any suggestions? Please try going to the current [url="http://www.meebo.com/"]Meebo[/url] site to see what I mean about the combined form.



    Also, you can see from my second attached screenshot that only the appropriate field entries have been saved in 1P, per your instructions.



    Currently running Lion 10.7.2, Safari Version 5.1.2 (7534.52.7), 1Password Version 3.8.13.BETA-1 (build 31231), and 1P extension Version 3.8.9.b3

    As with other Login issues like this, the simplest solution is to disable autosubmit for the individual Login (as you mentioned above). That will give you a chance to click the correct "Sign On" button. There is no need to clear the other fields as long as you click the correct form submission button.

    I'll see what we can do to improve things on the Meebo site in future updates. Thanks for bringing this up again!
