1Password keeps locking when using Mac remotely

Hello all - this is my first forum post and I have 2 questions



I just purchased 1Password on the Mac app store and am using it on 3-Mac's all running Lion...



Q1 - I noticed my 1Password keeps locking (immediately) when using 1Password on any of my Mac's remotely. I am assuming this is normal (security) behavior? If so it makes sense but is there a workaround that is safe?



Q2 - I am using Dropbox to sync 1Password on all 3-Mac's. I have only added 5-6 logins and am testing / getting familiar with the app... I just noticed that I have NOT ONE BUT TWO .agilkeychain files... I would assume this is due to a Dropbox conflict? Would this be due to trying to use 1Password remotely?



* Note - I am using Apple's remote desktop app (excelent)

Hi there, welcome to the forums!



#1 is a known bug with Apple's "ARD" ("Apple Remote Desktop"). We have filed a bug report with Apple on this.



#2 are both of these keychains located in Dropbox? You can see which one is actually being used by selecting 1Password > Preferences > General. The location of the data file in use is listed under "Your Data Stored In."

#1 - I sort of figured that... FYI, it is the same for Back To My Mac...



#2 - the extra Dropbox file was: 1Password-338903257.agilekeychain... I know when DB sees a conflict it will keep 2 files adding random #'s to the second file... I guess when I tried to remotely use 1Password the conflict was created... ???

I didn't realize the ARD had a bug, I was assuming I was one of those who just experienced the relocking bug. Now I know that its not actually one but the other <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

NOW - My problems are now somewhat solved. 3-Macs are syncing 1Password via dropbox.



Everything else should be solved at the next point release of the MacApp Store version of 1Password.



1Password response that solved this - work around::



"You should be able to setup the remote Mac, but the issue with it locking is down to a bug where the 'screen saver' is being wrongly reported as being activated, we believe this is with Lion itself but there's a fix in place in the upcoming 3.9.1 build of 1Password from the Mac App Store."
