Backup Progress Status
Hi, I'm new to Knox application. I had three basic questions:
1) When I was backing up one of my Knox vaults, I cannot tell if the backup process completed or not. Is there such a progress indication?
2) Also if I created the Knox vault in Lion 10.7.1, can I use this vault with a Snow Leopard 10.6.8 machine and back and forth without corrupting the files within it? My vaults are stored on an external drive which I used for all my data between several Mac machines.
3) Each time when I started up a vault file, after I selected the file from Knox menu, it took quite a while ( 1 minute or so but he file is not very big) before I can continue. I have Knox 2.1.8 (158) on a MacBook Pro (early 2011 model) 2.2 GHz Intel i7 on Mac OS 10.7.1
Thanks for your help.

I do not believe there is such an indicator. I prefer that it happen silently, but I will mention this to the developers since I can see how this would be useful.

This should not be a problem at all. The vaults are compatible as far back as Leopard (10.5), and you can even create ones that are compatible with Tiger (10.4) if needed.

Try creating a new vault. Does the problem persist with a new vault or only on your existing ones? Is it all vaults or only certain ones? Does the issue exist if you quit Knox and simply double-click the vault(s) in Finder while Knox is not even running?
Please let me know. I'd love to get this all sorted out for you! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0 -
Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Something strange happened. When I started Knox, I could not find the two vault files listed in the Menu -> Vaults nor in the Preferences -> Vaults. They only have "create new". While the two vault files disappeared. Both files are on my external hard disk which was mounted as I can see it in the Finder which listed both vault files.
