1Password won't open keychain in Dropbox

I installed Dropbox on my office laptop running WinXP. Synced Dropbox files and then installed 1Password. 1Password didn't automatically find Dropbox keychain so I navigated to the Dropbox folder and selected the 1Password..agilekeychain file folder to open.

Got error message "C;\...\...\My Documents\Dropbox\1Password.agilekeychain" is not a 1Password Data Folder.

Changing your master password in the Mac version might correct this problem.

So I went and changed the password on one of my Macs and tried again. No joy.

Any suggestions?

What versions of 1Password for Mac and 1Password for Windows are you using?
  • David,

Thanks for the quick response. I have auto updates on and am using the latest versions for all. After my post, I looked again at the files in my Dropbox folder and noted that some weren't updated. So I uninstalled Dropbox, deleted the Dropbox file folder, restarted my machine, reinstalled Dropbox, and let the files sync again.

Started 1Password and it worked. I think there was a glitch in the Dropbox sync that caused this problem.

I am a happy camper now. Please consider this closed.

    Thanks,

    Tom

That's great news, Tom! Thanks for updating the thread.

(Just curious—what version number does 1Password for Mac report?)
