Login with Firefox

Although the 1P toolbar works OK for most sites, several of the common sites that I use (Flickr for example) use a pop-up window for login or confirming the password. This popup has no toolbar so I cant access the 1P plug-in. I have to bring up the 1P app and cut&paste. Extremely infuriating! and time-consuming. Am I doing something incorrectly?

The contextual menu in Safari is the most convenient of all the interfaces; pity this is not in Firefox.

I'm also missing the context menu in iBank. I know this isn't from AgileSolutions but it is 'webkit' and I was hoping the extensions would work there too (they used to work prior to Lion).

  • Hi, Mel! When a login window doesn't display a toolbar, you can use ⌘\ to invoke 1Password in Firefox. As for iBank, even if they use WebKit, in Lion we are only able to support Safari, Firefox, Chrome and a limited number of variants that have the same extension framework, such as Chromium, Canary and WebKit (the actual browser named WebKit, that is). Finally, regarding the contextual menu in Firefox, we are working out some niggles (there is a related memory usage/performance issue that the Mozilla team may need to resolve) but still hope to bring it back in the future.

Thanks for the shortcut; I had no idea <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_yes.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='(y)' /> . Glad to hear you are still working on those other niggles.
