New install does not need master password 3.8.9.BETA-1 (build 31175)
I just reinstalled 1Password (Upgrades seem not to have loaded properly before) just after the machine had rebooted. I downloaded the app from the download page - started it - the app said there was a later beta version and did I want to update. I updated requiring the admin username/password) the the app opened showing me the list of logins and passwords. At no time was I prompted for the master password.
I shutdown the app and restarted and it opened again and did not ask for the master password.

Hi, Mark. 1Password will prompt you for a master password based on your security settings (1Password > Preferences > Security). It'll prompt you if you manually lock it, or if you have the inactivity timer enabled, or one of the other auto-lock options. It won't prompt you every time the application starts.Flag 0

Yes I know I have used it for some time with inactivity timer set. However this time I had not used 1 password for some time as the chrome plugin was not working - So I had to reinstall and then it was open.
The master password screen on the addin has come back but it will not accept a password and does not now popup when I hit the IP icon in chrome.
However the app is open and has been since I first reported it and my screensaver has stated and had to be unlocked.
I note the app is Version 3.8.9.BETA-1 (build 31175) but the chrome extension is 3.8.5.31080 How do I install the same version of both. (Noting that I reinstalled in the first place as the chrome version was significantly behind the app version)Flag 0 -
I'm not sure I understand what the problem is or how I can reproduce it on my machine. Could you give me a list of steps to take in order to reproduce the problem you are describing?
