"Never prompt for master password" not working in Safari and Firefox
I am using 3.8.8 (build 31172), Safari 5.1 (6534.50), Firefox 7.0.1 and Chrome 15.0.874.83 beta, all under Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
My 1Password.agilekeychain is located in my DropBox folder.
I have a Master Password, but 1PW preferences are set to never ask for a Master Password; once I log into my Mac that ought to be enough.
The thing is, Safari & Firefox always ask for the Master Password once started, but Chrome never does (which is what I want).
What's up with this? How do I stop Safari & Firefox asking for it?
Many thanks

Hey jkuhn,
I'm sorry that you are having this problem. Can you try updating to 1Password 3.8.9 and then make sure you are also up to date with 1Password extension 3.8.6 in Safari and Firefox?
If you explicitly lock 1Password, you will be prompted for your password even with that option enabled. Please try this quick test to see if it is working as expected:
1. Restart your Mac
2. Open Safari
3. Click on the 1Password button in Safari's toolbar
4. Are you prompted for your password?
You can perform the same test with Firefox as well. Please let me know how it turns out!Flag 0
