Cannot update to 3.8.9 (build #31178)

Hi



I am currently running 1Password 3.8.8 (build 31172) on my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard 10.6.8.



Trying several times to update to 3.8.9 (build #31178) failed with error message "Failed to validate the download. ..." both from the primary and the alternate server. I noticed that instead of 17939k always a smaller amount was downloaded.

    Are you still having trouble updating 1Password? Please let me know if you are and then try downloading the new version directly from our website:

    Still having the same problem, gets to within a few kbs of the download and then stalls on both primary and alternate. Took your advice and downloaded directly from the website and installed over 3.8.8. Now seems fine.

    I've seen some different network configurations cause problems in the past. One was actually a network security application which blocked all connections to Cachefly (the huge content distribution network). It was a mistake which they corrected, but it led to a lot of confusion. If you have any further trouble, you may want to investigate to see if you are running software which would be blocking connections to certain sites or maybe you are behind some kind of filter at work...?



    Regardless, I'm glad things are working well for now! Please let me know if you uncover any additional information.
