When 4 is released, buy from Agilebits directly or MAS?

I bought version 3 directly from Agilebits. In order to get upgrade pricing (if available) in the future whenever version 4 is released, should I plan on buying directly again or will the MAS have an upgrade option?

  • You need to buy version 3.9 from the MAS to get version 4 for free from the MAS

We have always been very generous with major upgrade pricing, and, while I can't promise anything, I don't anticipate the 1Password 4 launch to be any different. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
  • If you release 4 at a discount price expect many furious customers whom bought the app at $50

That's no different than any sale. You're always going to have someone who didn't make the cut and is frustrated.

Once again Agile provide no service at all. '

1Password 3.9 is full of bugs no fixes in sight.

Why can't you advertise when you are going to start a sale and end like everyone else does.

This is by way of dipping a toe in the water.

Are the lack of responses from Agile to to several other posts suggesting ‘4’ could be a Non starter?

I am hoping khad or another Administrator will respond and offer an explanation for the Agile ‘silence’ which seems to have descended on the Forums.

I do not anticipate an answer to the first question it is only a goad, attempting to elicit some form of response.

IMO 1Password is number one, the support and effort by the Agile Team has been superb.

There is a very high probability that I am not alone in saying that I would very much like it to remain that way.

I've already posted once in this thread and the front page of this forum seems to indicate that I have replied to many other threads as well. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

We have submitted 3.9.1 to the Mac App Store and are just waiting for Apple to make it available to y'all fine folks! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' />
