Chrome extension not saving new Login
I'm...unable to manually save a new password though the extension. I can't find a way to do that, or I'd just have 1Password fill in the password, then I'd type the user and save over the original login. But, like I said, I can't figure out how to manually save a login using the Chrome extension.

1Password will save whatever fieldnames the form is using—if you saved the Login item using the recommended method, they probably don't need to be changed. That said, "sso" typically stands for "single sign-on," the generic name for a site's acceptance of one login to gain access to multiple areas. It's possible that the fieldnames on one form don't match the fieldnames used on another. You might try saving a new Login item for the form where your existing Login item isn't working.
To save a Login item in the 1Password extension for Chrome, click the Save New Login button:

Hi David,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Clicking the "Save New Login" closes the popup window and does nothing else. It doesn't save the login info previously typed on the screen, nor give me any other window to save the login info.
I wish there was an easy way to do a quick screenshot.
The site I'm having trouble with is Yahoo. On the home page for yahoo there is a small sign-in link that takes you to the login page. I have two saved logins for Yahoo. "Yahoo" and "Yahoo - Marketing." Those both appear when I click the extension button along with the "Save New Login" button below it. Clicking that button closes the popup and leaves me back on the screen. Nothing happens.
I don't mean to be a bother, but it's only chrome that has the issue.
Thanks!Flag 0 -
Thanks for the follow-up, bbelzer.
Since posting my previous reply, I have learned that this is a "known issue": In the extension for Chrome, you currently cannot save a new Login for a site for which you already have one of more Login items saved. We believe this is fixed in a version that is currently in internal "alpha" testing. There is no information available about when that fix might become available in a Beta build or regular release.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.Flag 0
