New Toolbar Icon

I love 1password and I've always been impressed with your elegant solution to a fairly simple but serious problem.

...Except for the recent change to the toolbar icon as seen in Safari.

Apple has served no one by eliminating icons in color in the finder, sidebar and assorted toolbars. I suspect that someone in CA felt compelled to compete with Jony Ive by making the OS X interface a monotone affair, thinking it might be a design step up for the interface (it's NOT)

Which leads me to speculate that that someone at AgileBits thought you should unify your logo and changed the toolbar icon to match the AgileBits graphic identity. Gone is the easy to see 1P logo replaced by the new logo that's a black key over a predominately black safari like badge. It's hard to see as a favicon and nearly impossible to see in black and grey on the toolbar.

BE BOLD... Change it back or get rid of the Safari like badge behind the key. Perhaps you could just use the key with a very faint circle in back. The new logo is just irritating to find on a toolbar with five other black and grey icons. When we had color it was easy to pick out the blue but now the logo looks like so many other logos (Coda, LittleSnapper) that one has to pause and make sure to select the correct icon.

It seems to me, that this graphic change defeats the purpose of an icon as a shortcut.

No offense intended. Your loyal, sleep deprived user,

    Thanks for the sleep deprived feedback. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' />

I will pass this along to our designer.
